2026-2027 New School Counselor Academy (NSCA)
About the Event
Participate in a series of ten (10) coaching meetings (offered in-person and virtually) designed to support you as a school counselor. The New School Counselor Academy is tailored for counselors with 1–3 years of experience, those new to a school level, or those seeking structured guidance as they establish their program. Through ongoing coaching, participants will receive personalized support in building a strong foundation for their school counseling program, including intentional counseling practices, essential systems and structures, office routines, and planning for their first 100 days. Throughout the year, coaching will also focus on assessing your program, using data effectively, identifying program outcomes, and refining areas for growth. Additional areas of support include multi-tiered systems of support (MTSS), collaboration with administration, legal and ethical best practices, needs assessments, and strategies to sustain your well-being and prevent burnout. This coaching model ensures continuous guidance, reflection, and application to help you successfully navigate and thrive in your first year. Intended Audience: School Counselors with 1-3 Years of Experience, School Counselors New to a School Level
