Leveraging the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) Test Results and Military Assets to Improve College & Career Student Outcomes
About the Event
The Riverside County Office of Education College and Career Readiness Unit in partnership with the San Diego Military Entrance Processing Station (SDMEPS) and the U.S. Army Southern California Recruiting Battalion presents high-leverage strategies to access the ASVAB Career Exploration Program planning tools and increase educators' knowledge and skill in post-secondary options for students. Participants will learn the connections between military occupations and their civilian equivalents, how to interpret ASVAB test scores, as well as the post-secondary career and educational benefits included in military enlistment. The presentation will also teach participants about the California Department of Education College/Career Indicator and Dashboard as it relates to students achieving College and Career Prepared Status.
