American School Counselor Association (ASCA) National Model Ready Camp: In-Person Series
About the Event
Is your school counseling program ready to go to the next level? Join us for a series of five (5) in-person sequential workshops focused on distinct areas of the American School Counselors Association (ASCA) National Model including leadership, advocacy, collaboration, and systemic change. Explore how school counselors are poised to lead this work and gain practical skills to implement the Assess, Manage, Deliver, and Define components of the national model. Learn from and engage with ASCA Certified School Counselors, recognized ASCA Model Program (RAMP) Reviewers, and local/national school counseling experts who transformed their schools utilizing the National Model and have earned RAMP designation. Participants will also participate in breakout sessions throughout the camp, designed to increase capacity. Counseling teams will be provided an optional individual consultation time at the end of each session from 2:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. - Acquire skills in assessing your existing programs to increase student achievement with specific data collection practices and program audits and assessments. - Learn and engage in best practices that work towards intentional, data-informed, equity-focused, comprehensive counseling programs. - Learn from local leaders and current RAMP recipients in Riverside County while developing internal networks of support. - Learn how the national model lends itself to multi-tiered and multi-domains systems of support. - Access to coaching and support throughout the year.
