PBIS/MTSS Tiers 2 & 3 – Introduction to Behavior Support Planning

About the Event

This two-part, virtual introductory general education training, suitable for all school/district personnel, will guide you in gaining a deeper understanding of why students behave the way they do and how you can help shape their behavior in more positive ways. Focusing on a brief Behavior Support Planning (BSP) process, participants will gain comfort with simple behavior planning tools that can be embedded in your Tier 2 and/or general education Tier 3 systems of support. Reflect on current behavior planning processes to leverage current strengths into more effective and streamlined approaches Deepen understanding of the functions that behavior serves and the need for replacement behaviors Explore new behavior planning tools, templates, and processes for use at Tier 2 and Tier 3 Those who have joined in the past are encouraged to return as you continue to refine and improve your efforts. Who Should Participate: This training is designed for school staff who intend to conduct behavior analysis.
