PBIS Tier 2 – Introduction to Check In, Check Out (CICO): An Evidence-Based Intervention for At-Promise Youth
About the Event
This virtual training offers a great introduction to the Tier 2 intervention “Check-In, Check-Out (CICO)”. CICO is an evidence-based practice effective for several challenges including behavioral, academic, and attendance. Join us for this experiential training where participants will get a feel for how this simple support can help so many students. Session 1 – Understand the CICO research base and logistics Learn the CICO cycle and how to apply it Create messaging for stakeholder groups (families, staff, students) for maximum impact Session 2 – Develop simple data tools to progress-monitor student response Learn the various roles associated with CICO Understand the foundational role of Tier 1 practices within the CICO intervention Who Should Participate: This training is designed for school staff intended to participate in the planning and implementation of the Check In, Check Out intervention.
