CALPADS Special Education Data Fall Roadshow – Deep Dive into Data Workshop The California Department of Education (CDE) Special Education Division is pleased to announce the following in-person training session in preparation for the upcoming data collection for students with disabilities in the California Longitudinal Pupil Achievement Data System (CALPADS). This session will train local special education data coordinators and Special Education Local Plan Area (SELPA)-level staff on the updates and changes for the 2026 CALPADS Fall 1 Submission, followed by a deep dive into special education data, specifically District of Special Education Accountability (DSEA) and Disproportionality. The training will cover: • Fall 1 CALPADS Updates • District of Special Education Accountability Deep Dive • Definition, Impact, Source Data, and Finding Your Students • Disproportionality Deep Dive • Definition, Categories, Source Data, Monitoring, and Calculations Participants should bring laptops, as this workshop will involve hands-on data analysis. Who Should Attend SELPA staff, district, and site-level special education data coordinators are welcome to attend. CALPADS local education agency (LEA) administrators may attend only if space is available. Attendee Limit: 72
