Leading with Literacy: AVID Strategies for Disciplinary Literacy

About the Event

This workshop is designed for all educators to learn how to foster student literacy within literate students in their course of study. Participants will be introduced to multiple strategies/methods to support students in accessing rigorous text. Educators will learn various ways to provide students the opportunity to access information, process both collaboratively and individually. The focus will be on fostering students who can read, speak, write, and think like content experts. *This is a two-consecutive-day workshop. Includes resources and materials. Breakfast and lunch will be provided.
