AVID Collaborative Study Groups - Spring Session
About the Event
Participants will learn how to guide students through Collaborative Study Groups in the secondary classroom. The Collaborative Study Groups (CSGs) model supports students as they identify a Specific Question from a content area, collaborate to develop and deepen their understanding through Socratic inquiry, and apply their new learning to enhance classroom performance. In addition to the academic benefits, successful CSGs also serve as an independent demonstration of increasing mastery and application of skills built and reinforced through WICOR strategies. *Participants will begin work on an implementation plan to take back to their sites Includes resources and materials. Breakfast and lunch will be provided. Audience: Secondary Content Teachers Cost: $50 per series This session will be held at a Riverside County school site - TBD
