Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) Workshop
About the Event
The Riverside County Office of Education, College and Career Readiness Unit, in collaboration with the San Diego Military Entrance Processing Station (SDMEPS) and the U.S. Army Southern California Recruiting Battalion, invites educators to participate in a professional learning session focused on leveraging the ASVAB Career Exploration Program as a tool to expand students’ post-secondary planning opportunities. This session will equip participants with: - High-impact strategies to navigate and utilize the ASVAB Career Exploration Program resources - A deeper understanding of how military occupational specialties align with California’s Career Technical Education (CTE) pathways - Tools to interpret ASVAB scores and communicate career-aligned opportunities to students - Insight into the post-secondary career and educational benefits offered through military service The training will also teach participants about the California Department of Education’s College/Career Indicator (CCI) and Dashboard, helping schools advance students toward College and Career Prepared status.
