PBIS/MTSS – SEL Foundations: Building Skills for Student Success
About the Event
Join us for an introductory professional development session to build a foundational understanding of Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) and its role in creating supportive, student-centered learning environments. Participants will explore CASEL’s five core SEL competencies, examine the foundational elements of effective SEL implementation, and learn strategies for integrating SEL throughout the school day and across programs. This session will also support participants in understanding their schoolwide SEL goals, identifying their role in supporting those goals, and strengthening practices connected to areas of growth identified through personal SEL reflection tools. Whether you are new to SEL or looking to strengthen your daily practices, this virtual session will provide practical guidance to build a positive, connected school community. Presenters: Denise Granger and Jasmine Fincher, RCOE PBIS Coordinators Intended Audience: Teachers, administrators, counselors, paraprofessionals, classified staff, and other school personnel interested in strengthening their understanding and implementation of Social Emotional Learning (SEL) practices to support positive school climate, student well-being, and schoolwide SEL goals.
