Community of Practice to Support the Needs of English Learners (Riverside Cohort A)

About the Event

The purpose of this community of practice is to collaborate with school teams experiencing similar challenges to improve outcomes for English learners (EL). Topics discussed will include but are not limited to root cause analysis, high-quality designated English language development (dELD) and integrated English language development (iELD), EL shadowing, EL program audit, EL program evaluation, and dually identified students. Audience: District teams comprised of 3-5 members; district administrator, site leader, teacher, counselor, and/or English learners (EL) Coordinator from schools with 3 or more red indicators for EL on the 2024 California Dashboard, which includes schools eligible for Comprehensive Support and Improvement (CSI), Additional Targeted Support and Improvement (ATSI), or Targeted Support and Improvement (TSI).
